I lived in the Seattle area when Ted Bundy was active there. We heard there was a killer out there named "Ted." I don't think "serial killer" was a term yet. My daughter's fear cause her to imagine she saw him. When we found out he had killed two women at Lake Samammish we were even more alerted, as my kids and I went there often to swim and sunbathe. We knew they were finding bodies on Taylor Mountain which is in that same area.

Ted Bundy was friends with a lot of political figures and many of us could not and did not believe he was the rapist/killer he was being accused of when he was first caught, before he escaped at least twice. It soon became obvious he was that killer.
