If you have lost a loved one you know you are in pain about it forever. They did find her skull so they would know she was not coming home. Ever.

This is a super important subject and I hope many people read your article. The behavior of both men and women is learned early. Men learn aggressiveness and that they are competing for women who are shiny objects to possess, usually with a sexual act. Women learn to please, to keep the peace, to not anger men. Girls are proud to show they have a boyfriend, which means they must be pretty enough, dress well enough and that someone likes them.

Oh my gosh, you are the first person who has stated how I felt watching it. I couldn't watch it. Like you I turned it off after twenty minutes (or less). When I heard it was the front runner at the Oscars I thought, how can an unwatchable film be so popular? I thought I was alone in thinking that. The Squid Game was better and I turned it off when I first started watching it, thinking the actors were overacting. But I went back after hearing it was indeed watchable. Ok, no psychologist here but when guys choke you they get off on seeing your fear. So they don't stop. They feel powerful and in control. How did I learn this? I read a lot of true crime. Only those women die.

This is an all too familiar story. Women disappearing, found dead later or never found at all. Men who do the disappearing, the raping, the murdering. Men who are in charge of finding the disappeared, raped, murdered women. Only women can truly understand that we have to be careful where we go, especially at night, that we are in danger of being taken, raped and murdered, every day of our lives. It has been so since the beginning. If a young woman doesn't return home after texting she is on her way, they need to begin the search immediately. And in this case they did. Too often that is not how it goes, with the authorities claiming she just took off, she'll be home in a few days.
